Absolut partnered with MATTE to create a global brand initiative that interpreted the Swedish Midsummer holiday.
The exclusive New York event represented a cosmopolitan-take on the traditional celebration.
Stunning floral decorations were juxtaposed with live conceptual ink paintings by renowned artist Aerosyn-Lex.
And a beautiful Maypole served as the focal point of the 50-person VIP dinner, while a live jazz and r&b band serenaded guests.
MATTE handled all aspects of the event from event concept/production to art direction and floral design to talent/tastemaker curation.
Over the past year, MATTE has worked with Pernod Ricard, capturing their high-caliber brand activations and events through photography and film.
From Coachella to Brooklyn, we've overseen, directed and produced cinematic content for Pernod Ricard and its subsidiary brands.
For the global launch of Baz Luhrmann's Chanel No. 5 campaign, LEGS called upon MATTE to direct and produce a film
that captured the premiere in all its splendor. MATTE delivered a cinematic video from singer-songwriter
Lo Fang's live-performance of "You're The One That I Want," linked together with ambient footage of the event.
MATTE set up on-site editing bays and ensured a 24-hour turnaround. The entire project, including post-production
and color grading, was completed in less than a week to ensure maximum potential for Chanel's media needs.
Hailing from Sweden, Rekorderlig Cider is known as one of the world’s premier cider brands.
Over the past year, Rekorderlig has worked closely with MATTE to build brand awareness through unique events and activations.
From the US launch in New York and Miami to Rekorderlig’s massive sponsorship of Mysteryland; from social media to out-of-home paid billboards
and even a hot air balloon, MATTE has guided Rekorderlig’s marketing and activation decisions.
MATTE assisted Rekorderlig in establishing positive associations with both global and local brands while still remaining true to its brand integrity. Partners have consisted of Interview Magazine, Trendland, Soho House, The Surf Lodge, The Standard, SPiN NY, McCarren Park Summer Screen, McCarren Pool & Hotel, and Mysteryland. These partnerships have helped Rekorderlig penetrate the influencer market in New York and Miami.
MATTE also supervises Rekorderlig’s musical identity in North America.
From the selection of the music to complement their brand essence video to live artist collaborations,
MATTE has found a coherent aural fingerprint that perfectly represents the Swedish cider brand.
For rag & bone's FW15 RTW collection, MATTE created a complex visual presentation utilizing live
broadcast cameras projected onto four massive walls framing the runway. With only one week to conceptualize and produce,
we worked around the clock – countless hours of work, all down to six minutes.

MATTE also shot and retouched high-quality, behind-the-scenes photos of rag & bone's FW15 RTW show.
MATTE works closely with SOHO HOUSE to develop unique content for their top-notch member events in order to share them with a broader audience. Starting with New York, MATTE has expanded to cinematic content capture across North America at the LA, Miami, and Toronto houses.
Parisian fashion brand Maje partnered with MATTE to promote their K-WAY collaboration during
MATTE's Painted BLACK music and art series in New York City. Content, intimate access to a refined audience, media purchases,
and press all leveraged the series to promote Maje in a prominent yet unobtrusive manner.
Though experience, promotional media, and video content, MATTE helped shape a visual, auditory,
and cultural identity that resonated with Maje’s brand and broadened its reach to a new audience.
To further leverage content from the festival, MATTE connected Maje to nine influential women in fashion, music, and media.
MATTE documented each 'Maje girl's' experience at Painted BLACK, creating unique Instagram videos
and social content that the girl's and Maje shared via their social media channels.
MATTE created branded content videos for Maje that tied the brand to Painted BLACK.
The videos were successfully distributed through media partners,
on influencer social media channels, and on Maje’s Primary social accounts.
MATTE deployed a city-wide poster campaign focused in high traffic urban areas.
Based on results taken from city pedestrian metrics, the campaign garnered over 1 million impressions.
Since the end of 2011, MATTE has helped the Parisian music and fashion maison establish itself on American soil.
From bringing the Kitsuné Club Night Tour to life in over twelve different markets to curating a stage viewed by 50,000 people at Tomorrow World to creating exclusive film content that weaves together the fashion and music narratives, we continue to act as brand keepers, growing together with Kitsuné.
MATTE manages music booking and curation of all Kitsuné North American events.
Working in conjunction with brands such as Pernod Ricard, Motorola, MILK Studios, SXSW and Tomorrow World,
MATTE has arranged and executed collaborations that resonate with and amplify the Kitsuné brand.
NUR KHAN is renowned as one of the preeminent figures of New York City’s nightlife scene. MATTE worked with Nur to develop his web presence and showcase the exclusive world of the A-List ROCK & ROLL party scene. From design to conception, MATTE helped curate and retouch thousands of images and hours of video footage to create a cohesive online archive for Nur and Electric Hospitality.
Beyond web design, MATTE is now working closely with the Electric Hospitality PR team to develop an ongoing content strategy that ensures future events are meticulously captured, archived and shared with the appropriate aesthetic.
INTERVIEW is known for conversations between the most creative minds in fashion, art and entertainment around the world.
MATTE has constructed diverse events for INTERVIEW including their official NYFW parties, brand launch parties,
and a collaborative art project with the fashion brand Sandro. MATTE has also had the pleasure hiring talent
like Phantogram, Twin Shadow, MS MR, Craig Costello, and Devendra Banhart for the events.
MATTE handled the full production, including set design, build-out, sound and lighting production, printing, and artist relations/booking of these events.

MATTE helped fashion brand ALIX design and launch their e-commerce site. MATTE helped produce everything from principal photography to their rich digital platform.
MATTE worked with renowned jeweler Jean Dousset to craft a cohesive brand package that included photography by Andrew Durham and a beautiful new logo and website.
MATTE is assisting the haute-couture jewelry line Henry Dunay with their upcoming relaunch in 2014, designing their new website with a fresh, yet elegant aesthetic.
